Together with their families, Gergana Dicheva & Hendrik Nobel request the pleasure of your company at their marriage reception. The ceremony and subsequent festivities will be held on the 16th of August 2024, at Hyatt Regency Pravets near Sofia, Bulgaria.
We are very much looking forward to celebrating our BIG day with YOU!
Since we have a limited number of seats, we kindly ask you to RSVP for you and a +1 guest that had received an official invite.
Book your ticket to Sofia (SOF), Bulgaria. We do recommend our international guests to arrive the night before or, at the latest, in the morning of the wedding.
Hyatt Pravets is 45 min away from Sofia. We have secured transport to and from the wedding venue. If you have requested it within your RSVP, we'll send you further instructions.
Your accommodation on the night of our wedding (August, 16th) is a compliment from us. All guests are welcome to extend their stay over the weekend.
Practicalities
While we absolutely adore your little ones, please keep in mind that the wedding will be an adult-only event.
To make things easier, we would book your stay based on the check-in and check-out dates you have provided us with. The hotel overnight in our wedding night, on August 16th, will be paid by us. If you are extending your stay, we will get in touch to settle any outstanding amount.
During your stay at Hyatt, you would be able to enjoy all hotel amenities including a spa, fitness centre, gourmet restaurants, a golf club, and a tennis court.
Note: breakfast is included in your room rate.
#TeamBride is led by none other than the bride's sister. An essential part of the notorious duo Donche & Gergana, Dona is taking the maid of honor badge. Rest assured that the two sisters will be in the eye of the storm, making sure you are dancing like you mean it.
#TeamGroom is equally led by groom's big brother. In his role of best man, Arthur is prepared to not only share his hard-earned marriage advice but also to engage in old Bulgarian traditions that may or may not involve dancing with a chicken...
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. Please do not feel obligated to give anything else as it would be difficult to take it back home to the Netherlands.
Should you feel inclined, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be sincerely appreciated.

We are hosting a dinner for our international friends on August, 15th. This would be your opportunity to meet each other and get some useful tips about the wedding. We recommend that you arrive at the wedding venue by 18:00h, leaving you enough time to check in and refresh before you join us for dinner.
You get to experience Bulgaria in its high summer season. August is traditionally hot and temperatures easily reach 30C°. Please pack your suitcase accordingly while not forgetting to get a light jacket, just in case.
Yes, we have arranged transport from Sofia Airport to Hyatt Regency Pravets for August 15th, 17th, and 18th. Once you know your exact arrival time, please get in touch with us so we can pair you with other guests arriving around the same time.
Since we have a limited number of seats, we kindly ask you to only bring guests which have received an official invite.
We have compiled some of the most frequently asked questions regarding the preparation and the wedding day itself. In case you still have unanswered questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
No need to do that yourself. We have reserved a room for you at the Hyatt Regency Pravets for the duration of the stay you indicated in your RSVP form.
We are covering your accommodation for the wedding night of August 16th. Arriving earlier (for instance, for the rehearsal dinner) or extending your stay for the whole weekend is very much possible. For that you would be able to make use of our discounted rate.
Dress to impress! The dress code is black-tie optional so consider it a good opportunity to show off your gorgeous gowns and suits. We encourage our guests to wear our color palette of shades of blue, green, and purple. Check the dedicated section for inspiration and guidance.
Of course! For the adventure-seekers who are planning a road trip around Bulgaria, we more than happy to share a cheeky cheat sheet of things to do, places to be and food to enjoy.
Bulgaria is the oldest country in Europe that hasn't changed its name since it was first established in 681 AD. The local population is a little under 7 million people, a third of which live in the capital, Sofia. Sofia itself was founded 7000 years ago, making it the second oldest city in Europe.
Although it has been part of the EU since 2007, Bulgaria still uses its own currency - the Bulgarian lev (or "lion"). 1 BGN is approximately equal to 0.50 EUR. While you can pay by card in most places, we recommend having a few BGNs in your pocket.
You can not leave Bulgaria without trying the famous Bulgarian yogurt. You can cool down on hot days by drinking ayran (yogurt-based beverage) or tarator (cold yogurt-based soup with cucumbers). Order a Shopska salad to reinvent your love for proper tomatoes. Banitsa pastry is another non-negotiable, really. For breakfast, try to get your hands on some mekitsi with homemade jam. When out and about for dinner, do share a platter of grilled meat (skara) and veggies.
In Sofia city, the cheapest way to get around is by metro. The local taxi companies have apps that operate like Uber. Download either Yellow Taxi or TaxiMe from the app stores and you are good to go.
The most convenient way to travel around the country would be by car you can rent at the airport. Buses can be another alternative you can turn to.
